Giving Priorities

The GenCorp Foundation extends support to a wide
array of programs, with emphasis on science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education, partcularly:

• Programs designed for K-12, including those that
emphasize mathematics and science.

• Colleges and universities that support and encourage
excellence in mathematics, science and engineering.

To a limited extent, the GenCorp Foundation also supports:

Health and Human Services to address health
and human services needs in our communities.

Civic projects that foster environmental stewardship and safe and responsible communities.

Culture and arts The GenCorp Foundation organizations that promote the performing and visual arts.

Giving Restrictions

Generally, the GenCorp Foundation does not support:

• Individuals; private foundations; and international,
fraternal, social, labor, or veterans organizations.

• Political parties, candidates, or lobbying activities.

• Organizations and programs that are harmful, or which
pose a potential conflict of interest for GenCorp or its
business units.

• School trips, tours, or athletic equipment.

• Courtesy advertising, benefits, raffle tickets, and other
fund raising events involving purchase of tables, tickets,
or advertisements.

• Churches or religious organizations.

• Local or regional fund raising events for single-disease
organizations.

• Organizations where there is a direct benefit to the
trustees of the foundation, to employees, or to directors
of the corporation.

• Research grants and conferences.
